Once armed, any movement of a Scout fitted Bike will trigger the motion-sensitive audio alarm discouraging any further movement and alerting the bike’s owner, both by the sound of the alarm and via a notification that is automatically sent to the owner’s iPhone (when in Bluetooth range).

Then in a scenario where a bike fitted with Scout is not where the owner has left it, it can be located using Apple’s network via the ‘Find My’ app.

Does what it claims

I’ve only had the Scout Bike Alarm & Finder for a little over a week, but it does what it claims to do. Someone knocked over the bike at the store and startled them when the alarm went off. The app could be a bit more polished, but just another tool to protect this investment.

Functional and stylish

This was a gift for my husband who loves his bikes, but he was always afraid of being stolen. Now, with this smart and functional design he will be taking his bikes everywhere. He mounted the alarm under his water bottle holder. It is almost impossible to notice. Thank you for this very well designed product. I highly recommended it to every bike enthusiast.

So far I like it, set up is easy. I'm concern I'll lose the special screw key. Only real issue is I live at the edge of the bluetooth range and so my phone is constantly connecting and disconneting. I don't have a solution in mind but this nukes my phone battery. A firmware solution would be awesome, then I'd change to 5 stars.

I live in Portland Oregon which is notorious for bike theft so the bike finder option is an excellent piece of mind.

Works great.

I fly my bike for the first time and forgot to put my apple air tag in my bike bag. But this works the same and it was great to ensure my bike was at my destination with me. I don’t leave its side often but we have had bikes stolen while the group waits for the start with many around. So being able to set a quick alarm is fantastic. The only tiny downside is this does raise the bottle a bit. And I have aero shaped tubes so it’s a little tight. But I would definitely recommend everyone own one

Scout feature’s dual function LEDs that show at a glance if the Scout is alarmed. The same LEDs display the charge status of the battery.

Arming Scout Is Quick & Easy

Arming or disarming the Scout alarm is made simple and can be achieved in two ways; via the button on the side of the device when the connected iPhone is in close proximity (< 5 ft) or via the Knog app when the device is within Bluetooth range.

Mounting & Securing

With Scout, there’s the choice of overt or discreet security. To advertise that the bike is fitted with Scout, simply use the neon yellow silicone cover provided. For more discreet security, attach Scout to the bike via the bottle cage mounts using tamper-proof security screws without the cover.

Mounting With A Bottle Cage

Scout’s extremely low profile and compact design allows for it to be neatly bolted and hidden underneath a bottle cage. This is a great way to keep Scout hidden.
