Once armed, any movement of a Scout fitted Bike will trigger the motion-sensitive audio alarm discouraging any further movement and alerting the bike’s owner, both by the sound of the alarm and via a notification that is automatically sent to the owner’s iPhone (when in Bluetooth range).

Then in a scenario where a bike fitted with Scout is not where the owner has left it, it can be located using Apple’s network via the ‘Find My’ app.

Setting up is fast and simple. Once in operation it gives piece of mind when you need to be aware from you bike.

Terrible Experience

I went through the entire process but it wouldn't connect with my iPhone. I tried to get some customer support but that didn't work either. I'm very disappointed!

Useless for families

For a single bike belonging to a single person living alone, this technically works as advertised.
However, as confirmed by Knog support, it is impossible to arm/disarm a given Scout from more than one person's device, EVEN IF THEY ARE 'FAMILY SHARING' APPLE-IDs!
This means exactly one of you can disarm your kid's bike, but the partner can't.
It means you can't ask one household member to take all the bikes out of the garage, unless they first collect everybody's phones (and make sure they stay unlocked).
This makes the system all but worthless in real-life application in a family household.

Arming Scout Is Quick & Easy

Arming or disarming the Scout alarm can be achieved in two ways; via the button on the side of the device when the connected iPhone is in close proximity (< 1.5 m) or via the Knog app when the device is within Bluetooth range.

Mounting & Securing

For overt protection use the neon yellow silicone cover provided. For more discreet security, attach Scout to the bike via the bottle cage mounts using the supplied tamper-proof security screws without the cover.

Dual Function LEDs

Scout feature’s dual function LEDs that show at a glance if the Scout is alarmed. The same LEDs display the charge status of the battery.

Mounting With A Bottle Cage

Scout’s extremely low profile and compact design allows for it to be neatly bolted and hidden underneath a bottle cage. This is a great way to keep Scout hidden.
