Scout Travel - Smart Luggage Tag, Finder & Alarm

Very loud when triggered, easy to find in a crowded baggage claim

Installed this on my camera bag the other day and have used it while out and about. So stoked knowing that someone can't run off easily with my bag! 10 out of 10 knog people!! Alarm is next level!!

Sur le papier, tout semble bien pensé : un tracker qui serve aussi d'alarme, pour dissuader une tentative de vol de la valise (ou dans la valise).

Cependant, il y a encore bien des défauts qu'il serait utile de corriger :

1) le volume sonore s'avère insuffisant quand le tracker se retrouve caché au fond de la valise, elle même remplie de vêtements et autres affaires ;

2) l'application n'est pas aux standards d'une app en 2026 : l'UX design doit être amélioré (certaines fonctionnalités ne sont pas accessibles là où l'on pourrait les attendre), l'usage est parfois fastidieux (un exemple parmi d'autres : impossible d'essayer simplement les sons proposés, sans réarmer le tracker et le mettre en mouvement pour déclencher l'alarme) et l'apparence visuelle générale est un peu datée ;

3) l'appairage peut-être parfois capricieux… même quand le capteur a déjà été appairé !

4) le système de fixation ne s'avère pas être d'une extraordinaire simplicité lorsqu'il faut attacher le tracker au bagage : les deux pièces rondes qui se posent en miroir, d'un côté et de l'autre du trou du tracker, devraient être améliorées, avec plus de détrompeurs et un système qui aide à fixer le câble d'attache plus facilement ;

5) sous réserve que les certifications MFi et Google Find Hub le permettent, il serait intéressant que l'appareil embarque deux systèmes radio distincts, pour permettre une vraie compatibilité avec à la fois le réseau Apple Find My et Google Find Hub : en l'état, si l'on souhaite maximiser la détection, il faut positionner dans son bagage deux trackers distincts : un compatible Apple Find My et un autre compatible Google Find Hub

Au-delà de ces critiques qui se veulent constructives, le Scout Travel demeure néanmoins intéressant et avec des fonctionnalités utiles, notamment la possibilité d'être alerté sur son iPhone de manière discrète / silencieuse. Mais de réelles améliorations sur les points 1, 2 et 4 en feraient à coup sûr un excellent produit.

Easy to set up... just follow the instructions. Integrates perfectly with "Find My". Love the QR code feature where you can dynamically update contact details and it emails you when someone scans the code.

I have a Knog alarm on my bike and it’s been a great way to keep track of my wheels while they’re out of sight around the corner.

So when I was planning a trip and found out Knog had Luggage tag alarms too I bought one right off and it’s been a pleasure to use. Any time I’ve had to keep the luggage in a rack I’ve been easily able to keep track of my bag.

I think the ease of use the Knog products have make them exceptionally useful and the integration with the phone make me confident that no one can compromise the tag without me knowing about it

The Knog Scout Travel is an absolute win for frequent travellers. I love how tough and durable it feels — clearly built to handle life on the road. The fact that it’s rechargeable via a standard USB-C cable is a huge bonus, eliminating the need for proprietary chargers. Simple, smart, and solid.

They are great. Work as I wanted and I like the various options you can build in for contact. I have one on my bike and it is interesting to see the different sydtem on the travel tag. The two diiferent ways the tag can be scanned keeos up eoth modetn technology. It took a bit of fiddling to work out hiw to install but then it was easier for the second one. Good to be sble to put all the tags on the one app.

Exactly what I was looking for thanks. Got one each for the whole family, no more where’s my bag? Hopefully more security at sports events as well by turning the alarm on to prevent the bag being stolen

With my up coming travel overseas alone I thought I should protect myself and my luggage with peace of mind. The size is not too big and the colour is amazing, can’t wait to put it to use…

So on the eve of our family trip to Vietnam, I can’t wait to try the new Scout travel alarm. I have brought two to test on both my checked luggage and my carry around pack. A breeze to set up. The ability to track, to alarm and to allow others to locate your luggage makes for a simple but effective travel companion. The only things that could do with a tweak are the QR code (hard to be detected on your phone camera) and the metal band takes a while to work out, that said,It’s one of those things you hope you don’t need, but should - this seem a great piece of kit.

Easy install with stainless steel wire options
Easy to program and link to app and find my phone

The pendant triggers at the lowest level even with the slightest touch. A bit too sensitive in my opinion. Apple FindMy works good. Connection is also easy. The strap is good but not easy to attache.

Simple purchase, quick delivery and a nice easy set up. Like the fact I can write my own “luggage tag” and change it quickly if I want.
