We understand that your bike is a prized possession and leaving it unattended, even when secured, can be risky. Scout provides unparalleled Bike security by combining both an extremely loud 85db bike alarm function with a highly accurate bike finder, using Apple’s ‘Find My’ app. The future of bike security is here.

Once armed, any movement of a Scout fitted Bike will trigger the motion-sensitive audio alarm discouraging any further movement and alerting the bike’s owner, both by the sound of the alarm and via a notification that is automatically sent to the owner’s iPhone (when in Bluetooth range).

Then in a scenario where a bike fitted with Scout is not where the owner has left it, it can be located using Apple’s network via the ‘Find My’ app.

  • Compatible with iOS only
  • Motion-sensitive 85 db audio alarm for immediate deterrence
  • Can be located quickly using Apple's 'Find My' app
  • Operated using Knog iOS app
  • Mounts to standard water cage braze-ons
  • Can be mounted under water bottle cage for discretion
  • Use supplied anti-tamper screws to mount securely
  • Neon silicone cover provided to advertise security device (if desired)
  • Arm / disarm using button (within 5 ft) on app within bluetooth range
  • LEDs show alarm status & battery charge
  • USB-C rechargeable with 2 to 6 month battery life (pending usage)
  • Low battery notifications when you have just 20% remaining
  • Water resistant IP66 rating (wash-proof)
  • Weights just 0.88 oz
  • USB-C cable is not included

If you want peace-of-mind that you've done everything you can to secure your bike, Scout is an essential piece of kit.

Product so good that it's it's own enemy

I have been using the Knog alarm for about 2 years now. Purchased after I got a nice commuter bike to keep it safe. Like the title says, its main flaw lies in it's own brilliance -> movement sensitivity. Unfortunately the alarm is unusable in crowded areas with lots of bikes as it's simple too sensitive. Any small rock and movement to your bike will set it off -> even when you set the motion sensitivity to 1 (low). Actually I am not sure if motion sensitivity 1 is low and 5 is high or vice versa.
Main issue is that it has a buffer on how many times it can get rocked before it sets off the alarm. It seems like it remembers all the movement and then the motion sensitivity setting is just a number of how many times does it detect motion before it starts beeping. Useful feature would be to allow it to "forget" a movement after say 5-10 seconds. This would allow the alarm to be more movement-tolerable in crowded areas where your bike (an thus the alarm) will get exposed to lots of micro movements.

App could use a few improvements:
- sometimes it doesn't allow me to enter the alarm settings and I have to restart it
- alarm sound preview would be nice so I don't have to trigger it each time to hear each alarm sound (there is approx 30-40 of them)
- better UX/UI for movement sensitivity -> is 1 low or is 1 high? Same for 5 -> is that highest sensitivity or highest tolerance
- allow adding of multiple alarms in case I have more then one bike I want to protect

A bit misleading on alarm capabilities

Required to be within Bluetooth range to get alarms felt slightly misleading. In addition, the connectivity feels inadequate.

MOTION SENSITIVE ALARM

A loud 85 dB alarm is triggered if your bike gets moved. Easy to turn on / off within the Knog app.

TRACK IT EVERYWHERE

Scout Bike uses Apple Find My technology, so iOS users can pin-point their bike anytime.

LONG BATTERY LIFE

The battery can last 2 to 6 months (pending usage) between charges, and notifications let you know when its running low.

DISCREET + SECURE

Scout Bike mounts under your bottle cage using our proprietary tamper proof security screws. If you prefer to use Scout as a visual deterrent, you can use the supplied neon silicone cover.

RUGGED

Scout Bike is water resistant and dust proof (IP66), so it can handle any type of riding and weather conditions.

'Scout Bike provides unparalleled security for your prized possession.'

A Bike Alarm & Finder Like No Other

For improved security and recovery

Arming Scout Is Quick & Easy

Arming or disarming the Scout alarm can be achieved in two ways; via the button on the side of the device when the connected iPhone is in close proximity (< 1.5 m) or via the Knog app when the device is within Bluetooth range.

Mounting & Securing

For overt protection use the neon yellow silicone cover provided. For more discreet security, attach Scout to the bike via the bottle cage mounts using the supplied tamper-proof security screws without the cover.

Dual Function LEDs

Scout feature’s dual function LEDs that show at a glance if the Scout is alarmed. The same LEDs display the charge status of the battery.

Mounting With A Bottle Cage

Scout’s extremely low profile and compact design allows for it to be neatly bolted and hidden underneath a bottle cage. This is a great way to keep Scout hidden.
