Once armed, any movement of a Scout fitted Bike will trigger the motion-sensitive audio alarm discouraging any further movement and alerting the bike’s owner, both by the sound of the alarm and via a notification that is automatically sent to the owner’s iPhone (when in Bluetooth range).
Then in a scenario where a bike fitted with Scout is not where the owner has left it, it can be located using Apple’s network via the ‘Find My’ app.

The scout fits pretty seamlessly under my pre-existing bottle cage and blends right in to my black frame. Gives me a bit of peace of mind when locking up around the city.
I've used the Scout Alarm for a few days commuting to work. Once activated, the bike alarm works reliably even when it's not connected to your iPhone. The Apple air tag finder range is fairly limited though. I work in a large manufacturing building with the bike locked near the front entrance... My iPhone connection to the Scout drops off after I pass through the front lobby. Once disconnected the finder will show the bikes last known location. Anyway, I'm happy with this economical alarm. In combination with my bike lock, I feel like this is a pretty good theft deterrent. I'd feel ok stepping inside a store briefly with the bike outside using this alarm as well.

Ich finde das Teil genial. Der Alarm, das Tracking, wie schön man es verstecken kann. Alles super!
Bis auf ein Manko. Ich würde mir wünschen, das der Alarm der gleichzeitig per Bluetooth auf dem Handy kommt, auch fern von Bluetooth funktionieren könnte. Weil mal dann sofort reagieren könnte, sobald der Alarm am Fahrrad auch tönt.
