I've been using the bandicoot headlamp for a few months now. It has a good battery lifespan and is easy to recharge. Mostly it was exactly what I was hoping for. My only real concern is that you can't adjust the angle of the light. I normally want light more downwards (to see the ground or what I'm doing) so I need to tilt my head downwards. I find myself carrying it more than wearing it because if I wear it for any length of time, my neck gets tight. One small other thing - the two buttons on the top feel the same so I often press the wrong one when trying to turn it on. It's hard to tell if I've pressed it properly or if it was the wrong button.
This is a nice headlamp, I like it. *It is a bit awkward to remove the lamp for recharging though and I am a bit concerned about durability.
Good brightness but very hard to use, should be much simpler to turn on
Nice light, comfortable to wear, good value
I bought this light as a night time running light (it appears to be identical to the running version, except for the non-translucent silicone band) This standard model was on sale, so I ended up with this.
This light is simple to use, light weight and provides good visibility from other road users, which was my main aim.
The angle of the light itself is not adjustable but seems to be spot on.
It's just bright enough to adequately light up the path on the highest setting. For trail running, I would definitely recommend going for the brighter version. The weight of this light is not noticeable at all, so the next one up should be ok (was my main concern).
I've only worn this over a headband but it's got a foam backing, which sits on your forehead (rather than straight silicone) I can't comment on how this goes directly on skin & when you sweat.
Also not sure on longevity.
