Bought this to replace my cateye tail light after 10 years of service. I went for a set as the red cobbler was sold out. I really wanted to like these lights, it's a shame that I'm here writing this review.

Lights themselves are nice, but they are not made to last. The integrated USB connector looks very fragile, if you break it the light is done and you throw away everything (with battery and so on). Why not using a cable? If you break a cable, you pick up an other that you probably have around and keep using the light. In addition to that, the connector is exposed to the elements and I can't imagine using the tail light in wet conditions, getting sprays and grit from the back tyre (not to talk about sliding the partial cover on it with all the grit on the way, or plugging in this dirty thing in your laptop).
The integrated connector makes it also very inconvenient when charging (do you really want to have that big thing sticking out of your laptop or power bank with the risk of breaking it?). In principle, you can use an extension cable, but you will have to bring its own cable around (you can't use the one you have for your phone) so this defeats the purpose of "cable free" charging.

I went for Kong as I like a lot my Scout, but I will not be buying bike lights from Knog anymore.

Super easy to pop on and pop off, I have to make sure to angle the front light extra down so it doesn’t blind me. Most excellent lights.

Incredibly bright, love the patterns.

These lights are unlike anything I've used before. They are incredibly bright and the angular range and patterns make me feel better about being seen in the coming darker months.

Took off a star because I don't trust the mounting. O-Rings have failed on me before, and it feels like it wouldn't take much for the light to bounce out of the mount. Time will tell I suppose.

The charging solution is interesting but I worry about how waterproof it might be.

light great - fitment not so much

Love the brightness and the choice of light patterns / strobes but the front light is very hard to find a good fit to my bike as it is too narrow for the handle bar stem - which there were parts to adapt to different diameter tubing
